JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to oversee third-party managers and have a unique set of responsibilities, which requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of maritime operations. It’s a challenging position that ensures the seamless integration of third-party management into the overall operational strategy.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor the performance of third-party ship management (TPM) to ensure they meet contractual obligations. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess compliance with company standards and maritime regulations.
  • Ensure that TPM adhere to international maritime laws, flag state requirements, and classification society standards. Address any compliance issues and work with third-party managers to resolve them promptly.
  • Monitor, evaluate and provide guidance as deemed necessary on operational, safety and security related matters of vessels managed by TPM.
  • Review budgets prepared for vessel maintenance and operations. Ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support during emergencies or critical technical issues involving managed vessels.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with TPM and supervise the MOC process.
  • Review reports submitted by third-party managers and ensure they are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Assists in providing development of procedures and processes, compliant with regulatory, voluntary or expected customer standards.
  • Reviews and Reports on the effectiveness and relevance of the TPM Audits, SIRE inspection reports, TMSA submission, findings and resolution.
  • Must act in accordance with Hanwha Group Core Values in supporting the Shipping Team and in upholding the Hanwha Brand.
QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications and Skills:
  • Seagoing experience as Chief Officer on gas carriers 3 years min. Experience as Master is desired.
  • Organized, self- motivated and Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable to work in an uncertain environment and evolving business priorities.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Familiar with all aspects of gas carrier cargo handling operations, LNG would be preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel to vessels and shipyards
Work Authorization:
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining Hanwha.
